Porsche Crest Need 1989 2.7L info please

Hi there,
I'm not a stranger to porsches, especially 924's and early 944's, and I'm well-read on the 944S, S2 and turbos.

Im looking at ditching my 924 turbo - carrera gt replica and getting an immaculate '89 944 2.7 5 spd with 157,000km's.

Im currently waiting for more info from the saler for chassis/ vin numbers and the option codes.

The only thing i would change cosmetically is the early type euro rear valence and swap it for a S2/ 951 type.

I dont know too much on the 2.7 so i was wondering if anyone can fill in the gaps.

I know:
-it has the later dash, ABS, later offset wheels.
-that theres not much of an hp increase over the euro 944's but a much better, more usable torque curve.

does it have:
-typical 944 n/a discs and calipers?
-alloy a-arms, ie 944 turbo-type suspension?

what is the performance specs on the 2.7 cars? I have seen the stats compiled on the weissach site but is there anyting from the factory?

Lastly, is wilks 2.7 chip still available?
Cheers!

I really like that color. ...or colour. What is in front of the door guards? I am sorry but I don't have the answer to any of your questions but I really do like the car. Approach with caution as I did notice one problem....It looks like someone took the interior apart and they were dyslexic and put it back together backward!

The 2.7 is a little torquier than the 2.5 litre cars. It's not a lot faster (maybe a tenth of a second or so) but it is more flexible. It will have the late suspension, as do all 1985.5 and later cars.

thanks guys

the euro 944's have the indicators mounted behind the front wheel arch instead of behind the front bumper on US models.

The engine is really the only difference, the arms/brakes are identical.
I love my 89!

I was suprised how much stronger it pulled vs the 2.5's...

I had a deal/price confirmed on one...Then went to pick it up and the banker/owner had sold it...He likely got a extra $2.75 for it...LOSER!
