Popping sound when turning
Apparently I didnt pay the witch doctor enough when he uncursed my car...
So, I got the car back from the mechanic and the engine purrs, however now there is a popping sound every time the car turns right and also at random times. Im thinking it may be the tie rod end, but does anyone else have any ideas? |

power steering pulley, belts retensioned, noisy roller replaced. Recently had the steering rack replaced and an alignment.

If the noise is from turning the wheels at a stand still then it's the struts or the struts top bushing. Could also be the power steering pump going over pressure and bypassing.
Can also be bushings in the a-arms and for the sway bar. It would seem that the shop that did the alignment would catch any bad bushings or struts.

Is the noise in the front or the back of the car?
Can you feel the noise in the steering wheel? |

My Bimmer had this same issue. Clicked like crazy when turning out of parking spaces. Got the front end in the air and no sound whatsoever. Turned out that my upper strut bearing was toast. Was hoping that my steering rack's teeth simply needed re-greased. No such luck.
