Timing belt questions. Replacing
 

It's about that time for a timing belt, and I was wondering what all I would need.

I know for the toyota I worked on a while ago, I needed to do the timing belt, the idler belt, and the waterpump. I wasn't sure if there was anything else I should do in order to do the timing belt.


I know the arnnworx tool has good reviews, but it won't do one of the belts? Is that right.

Will the krikit do both? Where can I purchase this?

Tensioners aside, What other parts will I need for this project?

Pays to do all the belt drive components. Rollers/seals. As far as the water pump goes if it is not leaking, squealing leave it be. No sense spending 2 hundred on a pump when the one on is still good.
If it leaks or makes noise do replace it.

Gauge....Arnworx will suffice on both belts. The cam belt is most critical. The balance belt will appear loose at tension and whine like a turbo when too tight. You should not have a problem tensioning it with the Arnworx. Krikit some like some don't as it appears to be a matter of comfort of the user. For your 1st attempt at this job I would suggest using the 9201 if at all possible.
May also look at the oil pump drive gear while in there. The gear has a propensity to wear a groove where the seal sits and will leak if not changed.
