IIRC, it's the split rear folding seat. It was either an option or standard equipment on a 968.

There is nuthin' wrong with a 944 S2 — and much of what makes a 968 so good is present in the S2, usually for a lot less money — making it a great pick.

And a great Porsche.

But we've got a specific need for this story, one that the 944 won't quite fit.

Thanks for your willingness!!!

best bargain 6 speed, 968 v. Boxter S?
best round fendered bug-eyed front engined water cooled Porsche, 968 v. 928 ?

I'm in that S2 boat too :( only supercharged, so its probably too weird.

Dan, you have a beautiful S2, and some days I wouldn't mind trading my 968 for it, so keep rockin it.

And those seats are not simply split folding seats. Every 968 coupe came with split folding rear seats, but they usually look identical to the 944 seats (except that they're split at the top). Mine are different as you can see. Perhaps it's another feature of the late 968, and the other 968s I've seen (which are 92s and 93s) were just fitted with left-over 944 parts. Anyone else with a late 968 around here?

Personally, I love those seats. They look kinda cool, and they make a rear seat delete so easy.

I'll be back up in the bay area for thanksgiving. If you want a late (late model and late entry) 968 in the magazine article, you can have mine...

Late 968's have the 'lightweight" rear seat. I believe only '95s have it.

I kind of smell a cayman (non s) vs a 968.
very similar power to weight ratios.

Speedy:)
