IIRC, it's the split rear folding seat. It was either an option or standard equipment on a 968.

And those seats are not simply split folding seats. Every 968 coupe came with split folding rear seats, but they usually look identical to the 944 seats (except that they're split at the top). Mine are different as you can see. Perhaps it's another feature of the late 968, and the other 968s I've seen (which are 92s and 93s) were just fitted with left-over 944 parts. Anyone else with a late 968 around here?
Personally, I love those seats. They look kinda cool, and they make a rear seat delete so easy. |

Late 968's have the 'lightweight" rear seat. I believe only '95s have it.
