Talking FINALLY Tezme has the Pics 4 u!!!!!!!!

OK, heres the pics guys and girls. Would love to hear any positive comments you may have (no negative comments thanks).
So, what do you all think?

I took the interior pics this morning so they came out well but then I thought I would take one of the car aswell to show all but it was getting a bit dark so sorry about the quality on that one. Oh, wait, heres a clearer one but this was with the old interior in it.

Thanks bill. Yeh it is called Urchin Tan. And the other colour is just black but same material as the Urchin. Thanks for checking out my pics. I should have mentioned that I am not even an upholsterer. I was given a sewing machine in February and have always wanted to do the upholstery on my own car so set to work. It's not perfect but it's good for an amateur I reckon anyway. Made heeeeaaasapppssss of mistakes in teaching myself to do this. lol. Got there in the end though.

Thanks for the compliment Enthuzed1. I really appreciate it.
Yes, it's a Porsche 924 Turbo 1981 Series 2, it's kind of obvious but if you were wondering if I just wanted to make people just think it is a Turbo, No, it really is a genuine Turbo.
Hee hee. A little sarcasm is always good, it shows you have a great sense of humour. Thanks

Very cool, but it looks like there was a seriously manufacturing error with your car. They steering wheel is on the wrong side!

Ahh, New Zealand has always seemed like the perfect place to live, is it? Sure is a beautiful place from what I have seen. Reminds me of the PNW, green green green. I love it.

Tezme I do like what you've done with the car. Maybe a couple too many turbos but man you sure put forth the effort. It looks very unique. I'm sure it is more impressive in person.

Time for some aluminum pedal covers, billet lock knobs and E-brake handle, and maybe alloy trim rings for the gauges?

Congrats on the work so far, my wife has a very good sewing machine, but man that is just too much work for me. I'll stick with the race car interior (or lack there of).

Very nice look... not a fan of 2 tone interiors personally, but that looks pretty well put together and consistent.

And you did it yourself which adds infinitely to the nice work factor!

pretty cool. Did those rear shoulder belts come with the car or did you add them?

Speedy

You guys are awesome, you have some very nice compliments there. I am overwhelmed, really I am.

NEMESIS924.

Yeh NZ is nice to live in. It has it's good and bads like anywhere I guess. Hmmm, I like the idea of all thoses acessories you mention especially the Guage rings. Where do you get that stuff from mate? Thanks so much for your interest.

EMBPilot.

Bit of both mate. Had to put in more new foam onto seats and than made new seat covers aswell. They were chocolate brown before and for some reason that colour just would not work with this car. Appreciate the compliment alot. Thanks heaps for that.

Eldorado.

The steering wheel was a cheap version of a Momo which I bought. I pulled it to pieces and recovered it. The Porsche badge is from a Keyring I broke open so I could use it for the centre of my steering wheel. It's a very small wheel but feels nice to drive with. Thanks for your interest.
The badges is not glued on, it is threaded into the material so cannot fall off.

callmethewander.

Yes, the colour scheme has worked out better than I planned. It was going to be grey and black until I noticed how horrible it would go with the cars colour which is Metallic bronze and it has a Green Pearl in it but is kinda hard to see in the photos. Thanks for the compliment.

Dave L.

Thousands of hours work went into it. Alot of late nights on the sewing machine. Yeh, interesting how many people think there are to many Turbo words. Factory the car had Porsche impressed into the vinyl at top of door panels but I wanted to change it to be different. The Turbo shoulder pads might be over kill a bit maybe but it makes the rear seatbelts look tidier than just drooping down over the back seat. Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it.

schwank.

Yeh, I never used to be a two tone fan either and when I first started this project I had no intention of doing two tone but as I started sewing things up I decided it wasn't the look I was looking for so than I decided to bring another colour into the game and it has given it that different look that I was looking for. I was a lilttle worried about the consistency of the two tone through this entire project but I think I have pulled it off. Phew! Thanks Mate.

speedracing944

Thanks for your interest. Nah, they didn't come with the car. I made them for my car, the same colour as the interior. I just had the idea one night when I was looking at the rear seatbelts, thinking how I could make them look tidier. So yes, I made 4, 2 for the front and 2 for the rear. They were pretty easy to make actually and I have made them a loose fit so they always move with the belt as you pull it out to put it on. Only reason for making them was to make the rear seatbelts look tidy. Cheers Speedy

Everything that you guys see in the picture has been redone except for the Gearstick knob which is factory covered by momo. Carpets and rooflining and seats and steering wheel and sunvisors, I have all recovered myself. It's a shame I don't have any pics of what it looked like before. It was all drk chocolate brown and made the car look boring for some reason. Well thats just my opinion anyway. Thank you all so much.

Ebay always seems to have this kind of stuff.

E-Brake and Lock Knobs

Trim Rings

No affiliation with the sellers whatsoever, just thought that stuff would look good with your interior.

Very cool interior. If I didn't know better, I would swear it was a newer car.

That was a LOT of work! Obviously a determined patient man...not me, I'm buying mine....let someone else do the stitching. Besides, I don't have the talent. Looks good but did anyone tell you the "gotcha" for the compliments. We are all coming to your place to stay when we visit NZ! One thing for sure...I couldn't steal your car though...just don't think I could shift with the left hand!
