Porsche 968 SOB story

I saw this on Craigslist NYC...Maybe someone wants to help this guy out? (he has cancer and needs a new timing belt installed)

Something smells in the fridge on this story. I doubt anyone sabotaged his vehicle for starters. Two, if he can afford a large acreage and the food and health-care for a horse he doesn't sound too poor. Three, deer hunting rights?? That is quite a bit of work on a vehicle for the pleasure of a hunting right away, seems like a cheapskate move.

I sent him an email asking for some more details. I thought the same thing as Tony. If you have a horse you can afford to fix a car. If you cant, sell the horse or buy a different car!

I would help him but thats alot of work for a privledge i will never use.

I could be a great guy and trade him my Passat VR6 so he can get to the hospital. I wonder how he'd like that

If he is that strapped for money, he definitely doesn't need a Porsche. But if I was close, I would probably still help. But I wouldn't shoot any deer. Don't believe in it myself...nothing against those who do, I'm just not one of those.

What happens when the next repair comes along?

If you cannot afford repairs, then you cannot afford the car...sadly...

Sell the 968, buy something else so you don't have that added stress in your life!
