Fuel pump gas leak?

Hi,
After searching threads on fuel leaks and fuel pump problems, I can't find a problem covered similar to mine.
I have been having a slight drip near the tank for a couple days.
It has gotten worse the last day.
Decided to pull the covers on the bottom tank to find it.
Found the leak coming from the small terminal stud for one of the wire leads on the actual fuel pump. ???? This doesn't make sense. Why would gas come out from under the stud? I did noticed that after I reinstalled the pump and decided to tighten the nut a little more that the wire end was tight but there was still some play in the terminal stud. The other stud was immovable.
So...... to those of you that has actually disassembled a fuel pump, how could gas come from under the blue plastic stud housing?

And....... am I needing to replace the pump or is this repairable?

Thanks in advanced.
Todd

Hmm... Are you sure it's not the crush seals on the banjo fitting? Don't know how you'd go about sealing leaking terminal posts. The copper crush seals are easy enough to R&R, and cheap. Maybe replace them and go from there. Torque is 16 ft/lbs, IIRC.

If there is really gas coming outta the Termal on the Fuel Pump. Do Not USE!! Replace pump now. Spark+Fuel = BooM. My Tank had a leak which then dripped down Tank Strap and on Fuel pump so read this if that applies. Gas fumes? Tank leaks? Read this.
