Late offset Fuchs?
I think I know the answer to this question but will ask it anyway. Did Porsche ever make a late offset Fuch Wheel (45 - 55) that could be used on the late model 944/951/968 cars? If not does Lindsey or anyone else make them?
Cheers |
No late offset Fuch was ever made. However you can get a early offset 6 inch (or maybe 7 inch) Fuch to work on a late offset car. Its not the right wheel, but it will fit the fenders correctly.
You can try contacting Lindsay Racing to make you a custom set also. |
How do you go about "making them work"? Hub adaptors, spacers?
|
you can only make late offset wheels work on an early car with spacers, the early wheels will stick out way to far and look very bad. to say they would rub the fenders would be an understatement.

Like i said, a 6-inch Fuch will bolt right up to a late offset car and look fine. There is a picture floating around of a 944S with them on.

also, if anyone has a set of cup wheels they'd like to trade for some good 16" x 7" fuchs, i'd appreciate it :)

I'm guessing Lindsay Racing could easily make a set of 17" fuchs to fit a late offset 944. |
wow, weird that those wheels fit... most i've seen with fuchs stuck way out.
i rather like the look of cup wheels, and i think that lindsay fuchs would be WAY too expensive for my budget :) |
Here are some pics with the 16x7 fuchs.
