Front spoiler/rear valence

I have a front spoiler on my '84 which has no name on it. It came undrilled with no fasteners or brackets. I saw it advertised in the local paper during the '89 Porsche Parade in Traverse City Michigan. The seller delivered it to me at the Parade autocross, riding a Porsche tractor. He said he imported a bunch of them but found no market. I think I paid maybe $75. I like the appearance but the 3/4 inch lower lip has been dragged on driveway entrances too many times when I forget it's there. As a consequence, I've painted it three times now. It's a flexible plastic of some kind and I rolled it up and put it in a box to ship home.

The car was a factory delivery in October '83 and the rear valence was installed by Porsche in the Porsche body shop before shipment home. It's made of fiberglass and is as rigid as metal and has a 944 part number on the inside. They held the car until I paid the $450 bill.

The valence was later copied in floppy thin plastic and sold in the Automotion catalog.

I would really like to buy your bumperlip. If you are selling it.

Lip spoiler confusion

<,not quite understanding... are you selling these? or are you just telling us a story? lol>>

I didn't think my post could possibly have been clearer. Perhaps you didn't read it? I bought the spoiler out of the newspaper in Michigan. The spoiler is not for sale nor is the car. The wheels will be soon, however, since I am switching to 16" in order to buy some decent tires. It took me since last May to find two restorable 8X16 ET10.6 wheels.

It was "just a story" to illustrate that there was more than one spoiler manufacturer. lol, indeed.

Wrong thread

Ahh..

Now I get it. Intending to add to a long thread about front spoilers, I sent my post to the wrong place, wherein I get my butt chewed out by a couple of guys who spend all day everyday on this list.

I'm impressed. 2844 posts in 18 months.

Sorry to have tread on your territory.

forgive me for not knowing what you were talking about. I mean, you did continue a conversation without providing any background information or basically anything about the thread...

if you over hear someone say "it's blue", but you didn't hear anything before hand, it begs the question "what is?"

when someone asks you "what is?" to your "it's blue" statement... it's best not to insult them continually, pointing out their own (in your opinion) mental shortcomings.. it wont win you many responses by said person (or many others) in the future when you have a real question to ask, or something of value to say.

Wait a minute, now I get it. This all makes sense, because my dog has orange feet too...
