Solid Motor & Trans Mounts
I am currently building my 1988 944 NA to race in the stock class for PCA. I am going to be installing a fresh motor this weekend and have been contemplating adding solid motor and trans mounts. Anyone have opinions if its worth the $250 and how much it really helps if any? I don't want to spend $250 if its not going to help much.
Just as background if it helps you help me, I have Koni Sport adj shocks, 31mm torsion in rear, 400# coils up front, polygraphite bushings, BK strut tower brace, roll cage and I run on Kumho Victoracer tires. As far as the engine it is stock but I do have MSDS Headers and a Lindsey 3" exhaust.

I'd go with the stock ones. Its hard to justify that kind of price tag for what could very well give you a much rougher feel to the engine. The performance gain would hardly be worth it IMHO, but I'm sure someone with experience running solid mounts will chime in here.

Look under used Turbo parts in classified today. like 100$ for solid mounts!!!
I have Semi solid Engine Mounts and solid custom Tranny Mount. Shift is quicker. Vibration in chasis can make everything including mirrors shake. (as the Panzer pointer) But it's faster working the gears and settling the rear end on corners in down shifts.. Maybe if you're near or moving to caster Bearing level with short shifter & solid engine mounts car, it would be worth it. IMHO.
