Rad. I remember looking at your rad plug. It looked like it was broken inside. Hell of a job to get that one out. Might not be worth it. Pull the hoes to drain. To flush, just stick a water hose in the small rubber hose that attaches to the tube that goes along the head, That way you flush the heater core with the block.

I boarded an airplane one time in Houston and it was 76F (24C) here and landed in Billings Montana and it was -50F (-45C) and there is no way I could ever get used to that! Did it once, that will be the last. Even -30C (-22F) is so cold it's not something I could live in. Zero, you went in that without a coat..what were you thinking? Even with my insulation AND a coat, I wouldn't go out in that! It's about 65 F (18C) here today...just about as cold as I want!

LOL 18C = "Cold"
I'd be out washing my car in a pair of shorts and flip flops, sans shirt! :P |

does that sound like the right plug you're talking about? I remember you having to remove the lower rad hose to drain it out at the time... |
Ya, didn't want to screw with it at the time without replacement parts. Bottom, drivers side corner. Did he replace it with the correct one?
18c . Nice temp. Wait till spring here. The kids, college, in spring, at that temp are out in full force, shorts and tee shirts. |

It is just something you get used to. Unless I am sick and have a high fever I don't mind the cold that much. If I am sick then even -5*C is painful, like right now I am really sick and even though the temps are right around freezing I always feel cold. Maybe this is related to that time outside without a jacket? :P Just kidding, we all know that is an urban legend, the cold does not make you sick, just sicker, you have to be sick in the first place. |
