Dumb 924S Questions

On an 87 924s: (or similar)

What do those 4 switches (ok 3 switches and 1 blank slot) on the console just aft of the shifter do? I cannot tell from looking at them and turning them on and off doesn't seem to have any effect. ( Somewhere in Bulgaria a lamp may be blinking for all I can tell)

When you look at the relay panel above the fusebox, are the two left spaces supposed to be empty? or... Is that the reason I don't have any working headlights?

Is the Aux Fuse panel supposed to be fastened to anything or is the swinging in the breeze a new way for the wires to cool themselves?

Thx,

the first switch closest to the driver is the power mirror select switch

another is for the rear wiper, the one all the way towards the passengers side

the second towards the passenger side is headlight washers

the third switch to the right should be blank (i don't know what would go there)

this info comes from my father's bone stock '83 944 with 30k miles on it.

*note* the previous owners of your car may have added switches for who-knows-what that fit into those holes, i'm sure auto parts stores sell similar switches that would not have pictures on them but are of universal application

good luck! if you look close, you may be able to see outlines where the white paint was on the switches. i can see the outlines on my '84
