Millstone NJ Scenic Byway Drive

Thought you guys may appreciate this, yesterday we took a scenic drive for about 4 hours with the 944 through central Jersey on county roads. I would have loved to driven faster but these roads were TIGHT. wood guard rail on one side and a ridge on the other. it was a lot of fun, the car ran great, we had a blast. I'll defiantly need to take a trip out here again when the leaves turn next year.

How far down is this from NYC...once the weather warms up maybe all of us NJ and MetroNY guys can plan another get together. There are probably 10 regulars between here and Rennlist.

this loop is short, only about 20 miles. it runs up the river crosses over, then comes back down. we double backed it twice. most of our time was spent getting there avoiding big roads/highways to enjoy it.

its actually not far off the turnpike, but its really tucked back. a get together around here or north jersey when the weather warms up would be a lot of fun.

What exit?? lol

My friends are amazed how beautiful parts of NJ are when they come and visit. I told them dont let Liberty Intl' Airport give you the wrong impression and smell of NJ.

Thanx for the link

I have to try that run with my bullet cam

Looks great. When I first saw that speed limit sign that said 25, my first thought was...YEAH RIGHT! LOL I noticed he didn't incriminate himself by showing his speedo!

Cool shots, Kevin. I love the back roads of NJ. I have a good friend in Washington, NJ.

By the way - is your belt job completely done? I'm back from vacation and am resuming the project. Will post pics of the latest "issue" shortly. Jeez.....this undertaking is really time consuming for a first timer!

Ernest, the NNJ and Metro guys from here and Rennlist usually try to get together around very late March (depending on the weather) or April when it starts to warm up. The last couple of times we met up at either Rutt's Hutt or the Hot Grill for some hot dogs.

Kevin, did you do a "wiper job" on your car? If so, they look great. I sanded & reprayed mine last Fall and it was a world of difference. One of those things that wears over time and you don't realize how faded they were.

LOL i did Johnny, funny you caught that.
i would have got them powder coated had i seen the thread here first but i beat the powder coating guy to them... next time.

i just sanded them down to metal and hit them with 4 coats of rustoleum flat black, good enough for now. they dont see much weather since it sits in the garage. but it cleans things up.
