My CV blew up -- Which parts do I buy?

Will the CV Joint Kit With Boot, 924S/944/944S All, 944 Turbo (1986-87) suffice?

This is for my 86 turbo.

Thanks!

if your splines are shot you may need a whole new axle assembly. but if your lucky you may be able to get away with a new CV kit. wow, howd it all go down?!

X2, take the joint off and inspect the slpines on the axle. I would do both sides since you are going to replace the other boot anyway..................right.

Buy the whole assembly and be done with it. You might be able to just replace part of it but why bother if that leave the other side to possibly fail later. Try 944 Ecology....I remember them having a good deal on them when I replaced one about four years ago.
