Engine codes
 
Does anyone know where to find technical information on an engine based on it's engine code. In other words, I am looking at an engine which is suppose to be an 87, the codes on the engine block are M44/08 and 43H62170. Is there any way to find out if that is for sure an 87 and other such information like whether it's a one or three piece OPRV, etc.

Thank you in advance for sharing.

Thanks, I looked in the option codes but never thought about the lube section. I really appreciate your help.
