Easy question.....

Which direction do I turn the throttle body nut to lean the mixture? It's running a little rich...

Thanks

clockwise = richer
counter clockwise = leaner

(edit- this is for the CO adjust on AFS)

This screw adjusts the over-all air-fuel mixture. If you are trying to just lower the idle, there may me a little play on your throttle stop nut. However, make sure the throttle switch still clicks just as it opens.

The bleed by screw on the AFS adjusts the idle mixture only. Once the baffle comes off of it's idle position the bleed by has no effect. The screw on the throttle body adjusts idle speed. The engine block temp sensor and the inlet air temp sensor and the O2 sensor contribute to the air/fuel mixture.

If the O2 sensor is not working or disconnected you will get a rich mixture.

The real question is why do you think the mixture is rich?

I would advise against making adjustments to the AFR unless you have a wideband O2 sensor hooked up or a exhaust pipe sniffer.

The chip I have ignores the O2 sensor completely, and in circuit, it acts "funny so I pulled it. The sensor itself was new before I chipped it...around 30k miles on it now, so 3/5 dead now anyway I guess
