need some a/c relay help
 

Hey all,

havent been around for a very long while, i must say i do miss it though. I'm planning on selling my 84 944 soon and wanted to fix a bunch of things before she goes. The last few weeks i drove my 944 late last august and september, i had a problem with my a/c relay (passenger side under dash panel). It was weird, the relay started to make noise one day, sounded like a vibration type of sound, more like a buzzer i might even say. i pulled out the relay and obviously it stopped. When i turn on the a/c it goes away but once i try to shut it off it starts to buzz again. Also i cant turn on my fresh air blower for heat or fresh air at all (probably some override of some sort with the a/c).

Can anyone shine some light on what may be the problem? Maybe a new relay? I checked the fuses and all that, that's not the problem. What would make the buzzing sound in the first place? Could it have been a surge in the electrical somewhere, possibly blowing the relay?
