				car alarm

I have a 89 944. When you lock the doors the LED on the top of the door locks blinks to show it is on. But lately the LEDs have stayed a solid red and do not blink. Any ideas? This alarm does not seem to work as the owners manual says. I also have a UNGO system installed. Was in the car when I bought it, but I need to get a remote for it. To turn it on and off.

So the solid LED is not effecting anything, I am just curious.

Remove the aftermarket or remove the OE alarm. It's a bad idea to have both active. Leads to them interfering with each others' operation in a lot of cases.

I don't believe that both are hooked up. Factory does not work, just the LEDs blink. That is my only question: why would they stop blinking and go solid?

Somewhere there's a fault in the factory alarm circuitry. That's why they are solid and not blinking.
