Gas level sending unit, easy or hard to install??

One of the things I need to do is get my gas gauge working right, when it reads half it means its pretty much empty, is the replacement gas level sending unit easy to install? Or is it something else giving me the wrong level.

Easy. Use channel locks to take off the plastic screw cap.

Mindlessly easy.

Just don't smoke while you do it. :)

He can still use a blowtorch to loosen the plastic screw cap if it sticks, right?* ;) :p

*Disclaimer: For God's sake don't actually do that.
