Warning noobie question - spare tire pump
My 88 came with a complete tool kit, but is missing the Air pump for the spare. I have a cheap one from a local auto parts store. I would like to have the correct one from Porsche. Was there anything special with the Porsche one other than saying Porsche on it?
I was going to place a WTB ad here in the classifieds, but thought I should ask first. Thanks.

You should be fine with what you have. the OEM pump just looks cool with porsche name on the casing.

It's not worth the trouble unless you're going to try for a concours car. It's not like the compressor was made by Porsche, it was just branded.

I don't think my compressor even says Porsche anywhere on it, and it is supposed to be the original.
