Tips for installing FPR?
I am in the process of installing a Lindsey 3.0bar fuel pressure regulator, but I am having trouble getting the base into the fuel rail. What is the best method for doing this?
|
you need a little injector 0-ring lube, or whatever its called. schmutz that all over the 0-ring and push it in.
|
Thanks, I got it.
At least I think I do - a little bit of the plastic grey ring is visible: is this normal? the FPR is flush with the mounting bracket and there are no gas leaks. |
you are good. just keep an eye out for leaks. this is obvious, i know, but i am paranoid and check mine about once a week, along with the injectors, etc.
|
I am also paranoid and check for leaks, milkshake, oil level a couple times a week.

LOL! a brother!

Well, now that my 951 is my (temporary?) daily driver, I can't be too careful, IMHO.
|
oh, i hear ya. mine is my daily driver as well. until i get the new clutch in my '77 triumph bonneville, that is.
|
Anytime I touch anything fuel related I carry a fire extinguisher with me for a couple of weeks. I don't want her to torch up :(
Speedy:) |
it's crossed my mind.
