Anybody running a Webcam performance cam?
Is anybody running the Webcam performance cam in a 8 valve 944? How does the performance differ from stock? Does it have more top end pull? How does it idle?
Next time my cam housing gasket lets loose I may install one of thses cams. http://www.webcamshafts.com/ Speedy:) |
Im am thinking about changing cams too, but I think Im gonna go JME not web, I think someone on here has a webe and said its really nice and worth doing, ANything to improve breathing on these NA motors will help.
link to JME http://www.jmengines.com/index.htm |
JME has more grinds available than Webcam. Thanks for the link :)
So lets expand this to include JME cams. Is anybody here running a cam from either company? If you have on from JME what grind do you have? Speedy:) |
There is a fellow with the JME cam on the Rennlist forums. Says he likes it but probably isnt worth the money. The JME cam is probably the best, but is also $750 now. The WebCam is about $300 cheaper. I think someone in my PCA region has a WebCam on his car (i know its cammed, just not sure which)..ill have to ask him about it one of these days.

I installed a JME on one of the 944s I just sold. Is it better than stock...? Yes, is it worth the money... I don't think so. Unfortunately, I have no experience with the Webcam, but there is only so much you can do with a cam grind. With the price, I would give it a shot. -Nick |
what grind did you run?
|
I used the PH 277-14 cam, with a late DME, harness, and Welt. chip.
Don't get me wrong, there was a noticeable difference, but was it worth the $$, I'm not quite sure. |
They are 650 not 750

The website pricing is out of date.
