Man I love this car!!!!

As some of you know I bought a 88 NA about a month ago. Had an oil leak and then CV started making a clicking noise.

I picked up my 944 from the mechanic's place today. Had the timing belt done and oil leak fixed,(CV stopped making noise, No problem found) $900 later and all is good.

I'm a 914 guy and bought the 944 to be more of a family car. I know, but the wife bought that line The more I drive the 944 the more I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love my 914 and drive the snot out of it at every AX event I can, but for a street car, the 944 wins hands down.

Anyway no real point to my post other than I guess I really am a Porsche nut. Now I just need more room for a 911, 356, and 928GTS and I'm all set (for now )

My cars....... 914 on the way to 1st place in DSP in my region

My 944 & me the day I brought her home

You've got a couple nice cars. I've got a 911 and 944. 911 for autocrossing, 944 for racing. Works out pretty good that way.

I like the color on your 944.

Oddly enough I just test drove a 914 last night. I've had a '71 for years; it's sitting in my parents' barn waiting for values to go up enough to make it worth having the body fixed. I didn't recommend that my friend that I was checking out the 914 to buy it; it was too rough for her. But the body was pretty nice for an unrestored car and I've been having evil thoughts myself... I'm trying to manfully resist the "I can fix THAT" effect (and remind myself that I still have an Avanti-powered '55 Studebaker that I haven't finished putting together yet...)

At one point I was sniffing my jacket to see if any of that hot oil/slightly musty carpet/incompletely unburned hydrocarbons smell was still clinging to it. It's a serious sickness, I know...

Yeah, i think the porsches are well worth what you can get one for now, even more, they're a bargain that i think the only reason they are priced so low is because of the relatively small market for them. Bang for the buck, worth every penny!
