Diagnostic Plug

I am in the middle of trying to adjust my idle and was looking on clarks garage. I have an 88 944 N/A and it says that there is a diagnostic plug that I need to jumper wires between to defeat the idle stablizer. The question I have is where the heck is theis diagnostic plug. The only diagnostic plug I know of is near the back of the engine but it only has 3 pins and hooks to a sensor near the flywheel. Anyone have any ideas? I know the car doesnt have a normal OBDII or but I wasnt aware of a diagnostic plug but assume it is near the DME or something.

If you need to see the clarks garage description check under Idle Speed Adjustment.

My hope is this may help solve another problem Im having because I adjusted the idle when I rebuilt the motor but never jumpered the wire.

Thanks
Brian

The connector is right infront of the firewall on the drivers side of the car, right behind the strut tower. Its kind of recessed with the emissions control stuff running around it. There is a black cover that you need to pop off to see the actual connector.

Circled in the picture.

Took me a week to find it.

Turns out the PO had put a special voltage regulator adjuster thing right on top of it. I thoutght the voltage regulator was just part of the factory harness and was never the wiser...

I found it though... I found it.
