Water leak?

I noticed this evening a small water leak under my s2 cab (about a teaspoon full).
Anyway - got the torch out and had a good look around especially around the water pump/rad etc but couldn't see anything wrong.
However what i could see is that there's a coolant hose going into the throttle valve housing, which has been crudely covered in glue where it connects (you can see it in the pic).Water is visibly leaking around the glue.
Anyone experienced a coolant leak from here before and is the housing likely to need replacing?

Had a good look underneath today - and the water drip seems to be dripping from the area circled.I'm now thinking leaking water pump as well.
Any thoughts chaps?
P.S. most of the leak visible on the left of the circle is from the power steering - the water leak is dripping from the circled area.

I don't know about your coolant leak at the throttle valve, but either a hose to the pump or the pump itself is probaly causing the leak underneath. First check the pump to radiator hose for a hole, as well as the small hose comming up from the pump. Then I'd pull the plastic splash shield off and have a looksy at the bottom of the pump. Also, if you notice drips comming from behind the rear plastic timing belt cover, its probably your pump.

Thanks blk924s,
Just checked those hoses - there's definately a water leak in the area shown on this pic just above the oil filter.
I'm not sure if it's leaking from the hose by the jubilee clip or if it's from the plastic "arm" on the disc valve (anyone know what that does?).

That's the hot water valve to turn the water off and on to the cabin for your heater to work. It's about a 20 dollar part, replace it and your problem should go away. Very common issue.

Hey Cabby,

Tom beat me again. See my other post for a pic. Sounds like you are going through what I just fixed. My leak went away with the new one although a pressure test wouldn't confirm the leak-weird!

Hi Gostridr,
thanks for the reply.Well i'm hoping it's the HCV and so an easy fix because i can feel drops of water on my finger tip when i move the valve although the water leak by the throttle valve housing is odd - i'm thinking it may be someone's previous bodged repair with the amount of glue on it.
Another problem in life to solve by the looks.
