Fuel filter fittings

Will these female fittings on both ends of this fuel filter unscrew?
It is mounted on a '80 931 (924 turbo)

i couldn't get mine off, but usually you would put one wrench on the brass colored fitting to keep it from turning and another wrench on the smaller dark fitting and turn that one to remove the filter.

Use flare nut wrenches, and if the fittings are tight, clamp vice-grips over the ends of the wrenches to keep them from spreading apart (and rounding off the nuts.)

good luck

I've taken the filter off before, it was installed backwards but my new filter does not have the 'brass colored' female fittings on both ends, just one. I guess I'll find out this weekend.

Could I push in here and ask if the fuel line needs depressurizing before removing this filter?

The brass female fittings on the filter will unscrew if that is your question. I had to change them on the 924S when the new fiilter came thru with the wrong ends.
Hope this helps.
