Hey guys, I have had the head off my 924S engine for a while but I just got around to cleaning and inspecting it, WHile I was cleaning it I noticed someone used a filler to repair a small pit, well the filler flacked off and now I can see the pit, then I found one in another spot too, The pits arent to big, about half your pinky nail in with and maybe 1/8 inch deep but looks like I would have to take alot off the head to get rid of the 2 spots, Can this be repaired again??? The pits arent in any of the water passages or compression rings. Could I use JB WELD. Do I need to get a new head??? Later in the week I will try to post some pics. ANy advice would be great, I really dont want to buy a head.

The holes can be welded and milled smooth. Any experienced machine shop should be able to do this without much of a problem.
