Fuel Check Valve & Manuel for '77.5 924
Hi all!
I'm getting a LOT of vacuum in my gas tank on my '77.5 924 to the point of hearing (and seeing the tank slighly implode when she runs for a little while!) Thankfully (as far as I can tell) the tank 'reinflates" when I open the tank. She runs great when she starts, then as the suction builds, so does the pressure, and she starts getting a little rough (but then she's been sitting for roughly 6 months too!) Any ideas on where this valve is, the name and can I get one from here? I want/need a *really good* mechanic's manual for her! I know she has an Audi engine, but not much more than that... I likely will be needing a wiring diagram as well, as the engines been replaced, although I'm not all to convinced that the wiring hasn't been fooled with, as she's had electrical problems in the past as well (and may still have them? I'm hoping not!) I just bought her a little while ago & am wondering what the best, most comprehensive manual is for the 77.5 (77 1/2) 924? Thanks in advance! altmed |

Welcome to the fold altmed.
No offense to the fine folks here on these boards, which I frequent myself, as do other 924 owners, but the best shop manual for the 2.0L 924 of any year is the discussion board over at 924board. Simply just a higher concentration of 2.0L owners there and a great bunch of guys to boot. Once you do that you will find links to the factory shop manuals, PET, and all the 924 info you could possibly need. Read the FAQ, search the archives, and if need be ask the experts. It truly is a wealth of information over there for your specific model.
