O2 Sensor
I recently replaced my O2 with a cheep version. Car ran great for about a week. Now it runs the same as before. (Rich and hesitant) I guess I should bit the bullet and buy an OEM. Any suggestions where I can get a good deal on one? 1987 944s
Thanks! |
Buying cheep engine management componants will get you cheep results. Ok enough of that, are you sure that the 02 sensor is the problem? There are other things that can cause poor running conditions.
AFM, vac leaks, poor condition of ign componants, wrong plugs, coolan temp sensor, etc. |
I just replaced my 02 sensor with the OEM model. After driving home from the shop by the way the car ran great. Went for a little ride and the car started skipping like it was running lean. Well the OEM sensor is no good. I disconnected it amd the car runs fine. The shop will replace it with another one.
Car ran great without the O2 sensor. |
If it ran good with the new O2, then went back to it's original problem, it would be the O2??? Right? I'll try with the O2 Unpluged.

Just disconnected it... drove it, runs great??? Didn't go far, but got engine up to running temp. everything ok I guess.

The car runs rich without the sensor. The only reason I replaced my oxygen sensor was I failed emisions test.

Have you recently disconnected the union between the exhaust pipe and header? You should check to see if the header is cracked, 944 headers have been known to crack. |
