I was treated yesterday...

Ok, I admit it's not 944 material, but regardless, I was treated with something I had never seen before yesterday while working in Oakville...

a 1971 Ford Pantera...

sorry for the quality of the pics, but I had to use my camera phone...

this thing was *mint*... with a plate that read PANTERA1 and PANTERA decals along the side...

This was the same model car that Tim Horton died in on his way to Buffalo from Hamilton, on the QEW right around Lake St. in St. Catharines...

Elvis owned one too.. a gold one.. of course, what American car *didn't* he own?

Here's the king's Pantera:

Apparently he loosed a few bullets into it - one in the driver's door, one in a tyre, and one through the steering wheel after he lost patience when it wouldn't start!

Just think. It was about $14K new. I don't recall a rear spoiler being a factory option though.

Believe it or not, I see them all the time in my daily travels. Seriously, I proabably see one every 2 weeks or so in the spring/summer.
