am I asking too much???
boy I havn't been on here in a while, but it's good to be back.
It's time to sell my 944, just don't drive it enough to keep it or pay insurance. It's a '84, 127,000 miles, new battery, timing/balance belts, motor mounts, thermostat, radiator, throttle response cam, air filter, synthetic in motor & transaxle, shift boot, cd player. for what I paid for it plus all the work I put into it I'm asking $5,000. does that sound about right. thanks, the thing is that I live in central south dakota so I dont really know what kind of market there is going to be for a porsche.

in my neck of the woods that's a little high...
I paid about $1500 less than that for something similar, minus motor mounts and battery.

I think he ment $1500 less than $5,000 = $3,500.
$3500 is STILL a great price!

all in all I would be happy if I got $4,000 for it but I think I'll just list it for $5,000 and see what happens.

i'm in southern ontario... I didn't drive it 2 winters ago, mostly due to a wheel bearing problem. but yea, I drove it last winter.. it was a mild winter with minimal snow.. and this is one of the most natural cars i've ever driven in the winter. very predictable.

I would start at $5K asking. Once you set a lower asking price, the taking price will be lower; you can't go back up. I use the approach of;
Asking price: $5K Liking price: maybe $4.5K Taking price: $4
