gauge cluster question
Are the automatic and manual gauge clusters the same? Since most are manuals I didnt want to list it until I was sure.
Anyway its for sale, 142 on the clock, nice clean shape. $75 obo...along with 10,000 other parts |
they are not the same on late (85.5 and later) cars. on early cars they were the same.

ahh, thanks Era.How about the ECU,same or diff? I guess I should mention its a 86. Thanks again
|
ECU makes no difference manual vs. automatic so that won't be any more difficult to sell. i'm not sure how big the market is for the gauge clusters for automatic cars.

well the automatics seem to keep landing in my lap,Ive had 3 and no manuals and I go look at a 928 and end up buying it and its a 5 spd lol, maybe ill just keep the cluster. Thanks for the help

no problem! the stick shift 928 is more of a rarity... i'd estimate around 85% of 928's that came here were automatics... comes from the GT heritage i think. i've had a couple auto parts cars, it kind of sucks, they were early and i think the early autos were much rarer - i could never sell the transmissions. you never know who might need the auto cluster - you could probably sell it on ebay if you tried.

now when I go to Fla for another 944, I know where to go to fill the hatch with parts for the 2500 mile trip back lol
