Timing Belt Cost?
So about how much does it cost to have the timing belt changed out on a '87 944 at a shop? I know other things like water pump typically get done at the same time, so how much for the package?
After reviewing all the procedures on here and other sites i decided not to try it myself (sorry to the true mechanics on here) Thanks!

It's really not that bad to do it yourself. I paid $1300 for front seals, gaskets, water pump, both belts, and a new cap and rotor. That was at the Porsche dealer. The car was there for belts and oil leaks. They refused to do the cam housing gasket. So I ended up taking their work that I just paid for apart and put it back together anyway. I would have saved myself $700 in labor.
