center console switch wire #4
 

in the center console i found a little surprise.

when doing my clutch and removing the centerconsole I found a 4th wire assemebly that some what confuses me.

surrently i have switches in the center console for the following.

#1 sun roof
#2 rear wiper
#3 rear view mirrors.

#4 unknown.

my last 944 had power locks.

my question is 2 fold. is the wiring labled #4 for the electronic door locks? and if not what is it most likely for.

and if the car came wired for electronic door locks, would the slynoids be in the doors.

I dont feel like taking off the door panels and risk breaking the lower plastic cramps.

Hmmm... Never had to remove the console to do a clutch job.

im also installing a security system and other electronic equipment.

If it is a funky looking socket with three big spades and three small spades, it is for the fog light switch (factory/dealer option). Do you have a picture you could send us?
