Burping out of my overflow....
 

I'm having issues with my n/a 944 burping coolant from my overflow. It runs fine heat works fine and there is no oil/water mixing issue at all. The car runs normal temp wise it just seems to all of a sudden burp some coolant out of the overflow tube... I'm worried it's a headgasket but like I said theres no mixing and it's not overheating....Any ideas? I just paid big bux to have the cam tower gasket done, I hate to have it all torn apart again for the head gasket....

have you tried a new radiator cap?

I agree with nynor - my old 924 lux would do something similar - as soon as the engine warmed up she'd start to dribble coolant out the breather hose.
A new rad cap solved it.

Do your coolant hoses become quite stiff after the car runs for some time? You may have a head gasket problem after all. But I agree with these guys - try a new rad cap first. Mixing of fluids doesn't always happen when the head gasket goes. I know - mine ran this way for a long, long time. Finally I got sick and tired of it and changed the head gasket. Solved.

I bet it's the cap. generally it will overheat immediately and often if it is a headgasket.

One more vote for the cap. My car had the same problem when I first bought it. Hopefully you're in for the cheap solution. I recommend buying a cap with a flip tab so you can vent it if you ever need to.
