Rebalancing and Rotating after Refinishing
I'm having my fuchs refinished and I wanted to know if I should have them rebalanced after they are remounted? Also, I have different size tires for the front and rear. Is it possible to rotate these tires from left to right and would it even make sense to? I've never done it in the past but it can't hurt to ask.

yes - rebalance - in fact, you should be balancing your tires every year
moving tires depends on the tire - directional tires cannot be rotated left to right - they can be flipped and reversed though since your tires are off the wheels - is that what you meant? |
No, I meant to simply switch the left front tire with the right front and the left rear tire with the right rear. I have Yokohama AVS ES100's (225 fronts and 245 rear)

I believe these are directional tires, so rotating is out of the question. I will however, rebalance when I get my wheels remounted. I'm coming up on the 6,000 mile mark with them.

if they are directional, you can flip them so that the outside of the left front becomes the inside of the right front, etc - that way they still maintain direction, but you get more life from them
|
that would require removing the tire from the wheel and flipping it and remounting it.
|
i presumed that is already done, as the wheels are being refinished
