The only time I have seen those arms bend is due to an engine fire. I am curious to know how the one in the pix is bent.

Not exactly certain what happend, but it looks like it hit a curb.
Only slight damage to the fender, where the tab meets the body it looks bent so it is pulled out about an inch where it meets the rocker. You can see where the tire rubbed on the lip and in the inner fender liner. So I'm guessing this damages was caused when the wheel was jammed in. The caster block was also slightly distorted. No damage to the spindle or strut. Even the balljoint seems "fine". The control arm is "BENT". Definitely no signs of a fire. Odd indeed. ![]() I'll take another picture from the top. The balljoint end seems to be twisted slightly backwards and upwards. Measurements confirm. It starts about where the swaybar attaches. Last edited by Trev928; 06-29-2007 at 11:45 AM.. |
