Radio wiring, car audio questions
So I've been searching and I'm stumped. The P.O installed an aftermarket Kenwood and of course somewhere along the way the harness was cut and the Kenwood soldered to it. Here is what is there for wires from the factory harness:
there are 2 sections of factory harness 3 Wire: Green Green Brown One of the greens is capped the other looks like it's is constant 12V and the brown is ground. 5 Wire: Brown/Red Brown/Red Brown Brown Red/White He has it wired up so that brown/reds are wired up as front left and front right. Both browns are wired as front left and right ground. Red/White is the switched 12V. I only have sound in front left. I do have an amp I can install and the Kenwood does have front and rear outputs for the amp. Should I just install the and run new wiring to the speakers and add a sub? I'm not a car audiophile so a little help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

With how old the wiring is, I ran new wires to all my speakers. I would use the amp too.
