I dont have a pic and im sure most of you know what the part is....Its located at the back of the valve cover, its a mounted plug with 3 male pins and nothing plugged into it, I have 2 86 944 autos and there both the same..What is it? Thanks

That is a TDC position sensor used by your Porsche garage. Exactly what they need it for is beyond me. Automatics and manuals both have them.

Thanks, im guessing early 944's dont have them. I had a 84 and dont remember seeing it.
