Stereo Wiring Help

We're installing a new stereo and I need some help running the power wires (I have already replaced the speakers and the speaker wires). Since the PO butchered the wiring, I'm basically starting from ground zero because I cannot find any that remotely looks like a connector for the radio. I looked at a wiring diagram (see below) but its for an 85.5 / 86. Can someone tell me what wires to use for following:

Continuous power

Switched power

wire for lighting (to be controled by the dimmer switch)

After we finish installing the stereo and bleed the brakes, we'll be able to start driving!!!!

When i did mine, I tapped into the cigurette lighter power for the main power source when switched on... I have never had any problems with this supply, I would either blow up my ears or the music would sound so crappy before it blows a fuse that its a good source i think. I have an inline 10amp fuse and the circuit is an 8 amp in the fuse panal (rather that blow since its so easy to get to). Not sure if this can be of much help, and I do own a 1984, so Im not sure about the cig lighter in the later model, just an idea.

Do yourself a favor and break down and buy a cheap 12 volt test light (the one that looks like an ice pick). Ground the aligator clip and start probing. If the ligt comes on w/ the key off it's the memory, turn the key to on and find the next one that lights up with the lights off, then turn the lights on and find that one. Take a 9 volt battery and go across the positive and negative speaker lead. The speaker will make a cracking noise indicating which one it is.

Thanks for the suggestions......Since I have the speakers already wired, I won't need to use the 9v battery trick to wire the speakers. It just comes down to me getting up under the dash with my v-meter to find a power and acc type wire.
