Take a picture of her rear end for me?

Ok.. now that i have caught your attention...

Could some one help me find the sway bar on the rear...

If possible.. could some one photograph where it mounts to.. or where i will find it.. because i have layed under my car a few times today only to NOT find the sway bar on the rear...

Please help me prove i am not blind...

LOL

I looked on a few things but cannot find out where it is.. some one even guided me with words... but i think i need to see it to believe... LOL

Thank you

MIke,

Do you have the manuals for your car??? They are online. They should show you what you are looking for.

The rear stablizer bar connects to the rear control arm. Right where it connects to the control arm it bends 90 degrees to a body mount with a bushing, then bends another 90 degrees to the other side of the car. The stablizer bar connects to the rear control arm right near the front of the rear tire and crosses over to the other side of the car right in front of the transmission. So if you are looking at it from the rear end you will not see it. It's just in front of the transmission. You can see it without jack the car. Just look under the car just in front of the rear tire. You'll see it, if it's there!

Icey, no i do not have manuals for the car..

this car came with a receipt handwritten on a piece of scrap paper that said "sold as is.."

absolutely no history other than him telling me it was the SportPackage version, that he had fun with it.. but now couldnt fit in it.

They are online, you can downlaod them.

You have to download them to view them. Their server is not fast enough to send you 5MB at once to view. Get them while they are still up there. There are two Volume #1's. One for the SOCH and one for the DOCH engine. You can figure that out for yourself. I grabbed both of them.

Are you sure you are looking in FRONT of your rear tire??? Go take a pic in front of your rear tire. You'll need to get in front of it and take a good pic od underneath the car 6 inches behind the tire and 6 inches in front of it, minimum. And make sure you get all that good junk running up along the floor boards too. I'll let you know if it's missing or not.

It looks like your fuel filter needs to changed.

The top pic is the best, but not right. When you look under the car in front of the rear tire you will see a big round cylinder shaped piece that comes out towards the side of the car. There is a bolt just below it. The rear sawybar is just inside of that spot. Taking pics is a PITA, but if you can get another pic of that area then we should be able to see if you have one or not.

I see a distinct lack of swaybar, as shown by the empty mounts in the first photo.

I don't go under my rear end that much. Is the empty mount at the top, just to the right of the center? I have my rear swaybar. That would make a huge difference for him I would think.

I tried to take a picture at a similar angle to what you did. I also took one a little more under the car.

So... what am i expecting to gain having a sway bar on the rear of my car... will this stiffen the up and down..or just side to side? because it has always felt like a caddy on the highway at higher speeds...
