Evaporator Leak Fix

OK, so I spent about $17 and got my air conditioner working. Nice cold air. Everything is great until I notice mold growing on the passenger foot-well carpet. It is absolutely soaked! Somebody here said the drain line could have come undone - so I checked - it was. Now this thing is made of hard plastic tubing and there was no way it was going to go back on. So I cut off the elbow and replaced it with some 3/8" hose and an elbow fitting. All is well again.

Note that for the 924S, and probably the 924 models as well, the drain is in the passenger foot-well because the evaporator core is under the glove-box. I'm pretty sure all the 944 models have the drain behind the radio because the evaporator core and heater core are in the same air handling unit behind the center console. Pretty sure.

Thanks for the heads up Why'd you cut out so much foam? Was it infested too, or was it just to make the job easier?

Made the job easier. I removed the tube, modified it on my workbench and reinstalled it.
