Air conditioning compressor : Denso vs. Kuhel
General questions about the AC compressors, late 944 NA.
is the Denso compressor that Pelican sells rebuilt at Griffiths? will a Kuhel compressor fit right into the original AC system - i.e. is the Kuhel a drop in replacement? Or is cutting of hoses or pipes required? are there extra hoses/pipes/clamps required to install the Kuhel compressor, and where are these sold? |

I believe the folks at Pelican and Griffiths can answer your question.
Personally I replaced mine with a new Denso from Griffiths and have been very happy (not cheap). They really seem to know their stuff! |

All you need is a Denso 10P15E that sucks and pumps. Any compressor you buy will come with a shipping plate(s), you transfer over your old bits for hose connection. Get new o rings or gaskets.
