Quick Q on replacing alternator
Just got back from a 1 hour drive with no alternator. It seized up and I had to pull the belt off (was practically toast) and cross my fingers that it would last the drive home( at night, of course!).
Anyways, are the 90 amp and 115 amp parts interchangeable, as long as the pulleys are the same? I have to find one ASAP, and the 115 A is easier to find, and generally cheaper. Thanks Edit: I actually found one locally today, and it didn't cost a fortune (quite competitively priced, actually) !!:D It is rated for 105 A. But I'm still curious if the two different parts are interchangeable, just for information. |
