passenger door handle key cylinder replacement
Hi, Name is Ed from Cleveland Ohio area and am fairly new to the forum and know my 1983 944 fairly well but my passenger side door handle needs replaced and I need to know how to get the lock cylinder out for the changeover. Any help would be appricated. Thanks, Ed.

Once the handle is removed, you will see a screw at the rear of the tumbler cyl that holds a spring loaded catch mechanism that actuates the release arm. Place your key in the cyl and remove the screw. With the screw removed you can remove the spring loaded catch (this is sometimes pressed on fairly firm) with this removed the tumbler cyl. will slide out the front with the key. If you remove the key with the cyl out be sure you dont drop any pins out!
