Wheel Fitment 87 N/a
New To The World Of 944 Ownership I Have A Question On Wheel Fitment. The Car Is An 87 N/a With Out Abs. Will The Fuchs Replicas Fit This Car?

The 1987 944 used late offset wheels (52.3 mm). Most Fuchs and replicas seem to have the a lower offset such as 23 mm. This pushes the wheel further out in the fender. If the wheels are 15", then they should work fine. If you go to 16", then they will rub against the fender unless you use narrow tires or run a lot of negative camber. If you can buy replicas with the correct offset, then they will fit no problem.

In addition to 'jwade944's info, I have seen some 16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs with higher offsets, around 43mm I believe, maybe in the 35mm range for the 7" ones. Always wanted to try these, figured they may fit or would fit with a bit of mild fender rolling. I've seen pics of a 924 Turbo with 16" Fuchs, but his may have been replicas.
Good luck, let us know what you find out too. The Fuchs are still my favorite wheel on any Porsche hands down! ![]()
