engine runs good for the first 3 or 4 min

hello has anyone had the problem of the car starting and running good for 2 or 3 min and then the car does not want to accelerate past 3500 rpm. the car idles well around 950 but i hear a high pitch wine from the right rear of the car it sounds like the fuel pump i replaced all the fuel filters and still the pump wines i think that the pump may be on the Fritz . the alternator is producing 14.6 volts so i think that the regulator is working OK i need help any information would be great porsche 944 1985
