924 manual rack in 86n/a?

Just wanting to know if a 924 manual steering rack will work in a 1986 944n/a?
Would it matter if it was an early 924 or late?

It will work but you need the manual steering shaft that connects the the steering rack to the steering wheel. The manual is about 7/8ths of an inch longer than the power steering one and they are kind of hard to find. You will also need the manual tie rods meant for a 23.3mm offset.
