924S original paint type?

New to this forum but it looks good guys...

I'm also new Porsche owner. Recently purchased a '88 924S in decent condition. My mechanic is finishing up some work I didn't want to tackle. New thrust bearings, 944 clutch, new motor mounts and a new catalytic converter. Next up will be a spot paint job to fix rock chips in the nose, hood and front quarter panels. I've searched the site but didn't see any info on what kind of paint the car was shot with at the factory. Is it two stage or single stage poly? The original color is still pretty good (Guards Red) on the rest of the car after I buffed it several times so I'm thinking a good spot good with the correct paint will be all that's needed.
