Porsche Crest EBrake and Transmission Problems

Is there a special ring of hell for PO's? Please tell me that at some point they will suffer their ineptitude.

(1) The PO decided to torque the upper drain plug on the tranny to the point that it has no points on it to accept the 17 mm Allen wrench. How do I get this thing out? The driver's side seal is leaking fluid, so I need to drain the thing and replace the seal.

(2) NC safety inspection requires a functioning emergency brake. I can't seem to get mine to stop the car, but it continues to drag, and replacing the rotors (after replacing the pads & springs) was nigh impossible. Perhaps I need to replace the cable?

(3) PO decided that any electrical circuit that didn't involve the wipers or headlights (or the basis for some massive stereo) needed to be pulled. Any ideas as to the wiring of the defroster? I have tried the Hanyes as well as the Service manual (online PDF) for the wiring and cannot figure out how the windshield wiper Relay is involved.

THANX for any help!!!!!
